Alexandre Orion was born in 1978 and is a multimedia artist. His artistic activity started in 1992 under the influence of urban culture and the universe of graffiti. In a short time, Orion detached itself from the movement of which it was part and started to interact with the city in a very unique way. In the artist's own words, “the city is loaded with meanings”.

It is exactly with these meanings, often subtle, that the artist works, researching techniques and exploring what the city hides, interacting with passersby, creating clashes with the public authorities, making them part of his artistic work.

Orion held individual exhibitions in the main capitals of the world. In Brazil, his works were exhibited in spaces such as Banco do Brasil Cultural Center, Itaú Cultural, Caixa Cultural Center and São Paulo State Pinacoteca. Has interviews and texts published in more than 10 languages, in the main press vehicles in the world and works published by the publishers Thames and Hudson, Taschen, Éditions de la Martinière, Phaidon, Die Gestalten, Daab, Laurence King Publishers, Edelbra, Rotovision, Moderna , Dokument Press, FTD, University of Toronto Press, Saraiva, Sigongart, Vivays Publishing, Tamesis, Nova Fronteira. 

 

He held exhibitions and works in the collections of the Foundation Cartier pour l'art contemporain, in Paris, Pinacoteca do Estado de São Paulo, Centrum Beeldende Kunst of Rotterdam, Itaú Cultural, Deustche Bank and Mad Museum,
