"I was recently interested in visual light. By using different methods, I discovered how to manipulate the different wavelengths (red, green and blue), including our body 's energy before it' s interpretation by our retina. But light waves are only a small representative of the electromagnetic spectrum.
My focus on this project is to find out how to use lower frequencies than infrared. Radiation of matter, for example, and its capacity for absorption and its emission of heat. My goal is to manifest images, unseen with the naked eye, by the spectral energy luminance of matter; ie the radiative heat flux emitted from the material.
To analyze this concept I analyze, organize and transcribe the behavior of the specific matter according to the radiation of the electromagnetic waves on its surface. This technique is transformed into sculptures, bas-reliefs and paintings made of different materials and electrical circuits.
The objective of this work is to reveal the color spectrum with the use of a thermal camera; to make the invisible, visible. The only determinant that is the color spectrum is temperature.
Each work has two representations: Unassisted vision: sculpture, painting or low-relief Thermal imaging: which allows us to free ourselves from our instinctive sense to only associate heat with touch. To recognize that which algorithm determines the color of each material, depends upon the surface temperature".
